Privacy Policy for CrossCare Concierge

Effective Date: June 25, 2025

CrossCare ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used, and disclosed when you use our application ("App").


1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: Name, age, contact info, medical history (upon registration).
  • Health Data: Activity, nutrition, vital signs, medication adherence, stress inputs, pregnancy progress.
  • Living Conditions & Mental Health: Details of living conditions and mental health are collected via AI Chatbot interactions to personalize user support.


  • User Inputs: Water intake, medication reminders, and appointment scheduling are manually input by the user.


  • User Content: Users have the option to upload personal photos from their pregnancy journey to visually track progress. These images are stored securely and associated with their account.


  • Account Identifiers: User accounts may be identified using first name, last name, and the email address provided during sign-up.


  • Gameplay Content: Progress-based reward tracking including badges and unlockables (e.g., hairstyles, outfits) earned through actions like logging water or uploading photos.


  • Sensitive Personal Information: During conversations with the CrossCare Concierge AI chatbot, users may voluntarily disclose sensitive details such as sexual orientation, ethnicity, or beliefs. This information is stored securely and used solely to enhance the personalization of the chatbot experience. It is never shared externally or used for any other purpose.
  • External Health Sources:
    • Android users can optionally connect to Fitbit for sleep, steps, and heart rate tracking. Fitbit's privacy practices are outlined here.
    • iOS users can optionally connect to Apple Health for similar tracking. Apple's privacy policy is here.
  • Interaction Data: Chatbot inputs, voice/text entries, appointment logs.
  • Usage Data: App feature usage, preferences, engagement metrics.

2. How We Use Information

  • Personalize user experience via the CrossCare Concierge chatbot.
  • Send medication/appointment/other reminders and educational content to users.
  • Alert providers in case of health anomalies, available through a 911 button in the app.
  • Display pictorial pregnancy timeline and visual trends.

3. Sharing of Information

  • No external data sharing: User data is only stored for users to track their own progress across different habit trackers.
  • With healthcare providers (only with user consent) for better care coordination.
  • With external APIs (Apple Health and Fitbit) solely for importing user-authorized health data.
  • AI Query Processing: User queries entered in the CrossCare Concierge chatbot may be sent to AI APIs (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI) to generate responses. Only the query text is transmitted; no personally identifiable information or additional context is shared.
  • No external data sharing: User data is only stored for users to track their own progress across different habit trackers.
  • With external APIs (Apple Health and Fitbit) solely for importing user-authorized health data.

4. User Rights

  • Right to access, correct, or delete your data.
  • Right to revoke consent by disconnecting from third-party services like Fitbit or Apple Health.
  • Right to request export of your health record stored through the application.

  • Data will be permanently removed within 7 business days.

5. Data Security

  • For added account protection, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered email during account creation or password change.
  • All data encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Limited database access via API and VPN.
  • Backend is powered by Node.js hosted on Render for high availability.
  • PostgreSQL is used to store structured user data securely.
  • Supabase is used to store user-uploaded images and support scalable access.

6. Data Retention

  • Retained as long as you have an active account.

7. Tracking & Permissions

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • Explicit permissions requested for background health tracking.
  • iOS: Apple Health access requires user consent via HealthKit.
  • Android: Fitbit access requires OAuth-based authentication and user approval.

8. Age Restriction

  • This app is intended for pregnant women. You must be at least 13 years of age to sign up for the application. In case a user is found to not fulfill the age criteria, their data would be deleted immediately.

  • Users will be notified via email of any material changes or updates to this Privacy Policy or related application functionality.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

This EULA governs your use of the CrossCare mobile application.


1. License Grant

We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on your device in accordance with this EULA.


2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the App.
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes.
  • Share login credentials.

3. Updates and Availability

We may update the App periodically. Some features may be limited or discontinued.


4. Termination

We may terminate your access if you violate this EULA. You may stop using the app at any time.


5. Subscription Terms

This app does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. Users can sign up and use the app's features without any payment requirements.


6. Liability

We make no medical guarantees. The App provides informational support, not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a healthcare provider before making decisions based on the app.


7. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by the laws of New Jersey.
